Google is launching a new Google doodle everyday. The latest Google Doodle is London Olympic Pool vault. This is the ninth (9th) Google Doodle of this London Olympic 2012.

This Doodle is showing a long haired girl is jumping (or vaulting) safely over the target set of metal bar using a long pole. The crowd can be seen bellow & the word Google is written on the top of the London Olympic 2012 stadium gallery. Also the sky is clean enough including some pieced of clouds.

Pole vaulting is a track and field event in which a person uses a long, flexible pole (which is today is usually made either of fiberglass or carbon fiber) as an aid to leap over a bar. Pole jumping competitions were known to the ancient Greeks, Cretans and Celts. It has been a full medal event at the  Olympic games since 1896 for men and 200 for women.

On Friday, the Google doodle had celebrated the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics. The doodle 5 athletes playing different Olympic sports. On Saturday, the Google doodle had celebrated the sport of archery, with a female archer getting ready to aim for bull's eye.

This Google's tradition since 2008 to publish a Doodle for some celebrating or memorial event. In London Olympics 2012 Google will publish a new Doodle every day until the games finishes.

Google has a rich history of Olympics related doodles. In 2008, there was a doodle celebrating the opening ceremony of the Bejing Olympics on Aug 8, 2008. This doodle showed the five Beijing Olympics mascots - BeiBei, JingJing, HuanHuan, YingYing and NiNi - carrying the Olympic flag.
